After the Grammys, when they won all those awards for the song that replied to all the crap that came from Maines' anti- Bush comments?

I'm glad she threw them out. The Dixie Chicks made their fortunes on the backs of country music fans and then spit on every one of them before turning their backs on them completely. Their comment at the Grammys about how "it's difficult when you don't have a specific genre" was totally tacky - especially since they were ACCEPTING THE AWARD FOR BEST COUNTRY ALBUM at the time! These women have no class, no tact, and they deserve to be flogged. The fact that they won best album of the year despite their having the LOWEST chart rankings and LOWEST sales numbers of any nominated album just shows that the voters were making a political statement rather than awarding the true best album. The whole thing is disgusting.
I always hated the View, but I have to respect Elizabeth for calling it like it is.

well all I can say is good for her if she did do that . I have hated the dixie chicks since they started bashing Toby Keith . He is so much a better artist than they will ever hope to be . They need to learn to keep their mouth shut . I feel sorry for Adrian Pasdar being conected to this group they might end up destroying his acting career . I have not watched the view since rosie came on there and dont care too ,but i just hope the dixie chicks just go away.

Im not a political person so i really could care less what the dixie said about george bush or any one for that matter, I like their music. I guess i have a life and have better things to do then bash presidents or music artists.

Good for her! Those 'chicks' just can't seem to get it through their thick, neanderthalic skulls that the "right of free speech" does not mean that other people MUST agree with them or else their "rights" are being abridged! They HAD their free speech, just like all the folks that don't want to hear or see them anymore!
The only reason they won those awards was because they are now the 'darlings' of the left-wingers in Hollywood, not because of the music itself.

I hope so! I live in Lubbock, hometown of Natalie Maines. She bashed us with a song as well as the President. They do not play their music on country radio here. Can you believe that?
We have a beautiful Walk of Fame for Celebrities from here, she will never be in it. Too bad but she made her own bed with her big fat mouth. She was a waitress here at an a local Italian restaurant. Whe waited on us several times. She is very stuck on herself. I can only imagine now! I had their first CD's and loved them. I have the albums her Father and Uncles made back in the 70's and 80's. I have heard her Grandfathers band play. My parents and her Grandparents owned businesses across from each other for years. Natalie needs to grow up!

think she did say that a week or two ago and then today she was saying how she deleted them from her ipod playlists! what an idiot.... the best thing was Joy's reponse.... Elizabeth was saying in a very self-righteous way "that is my right to do that if i want to' and Joy said 'of course you have the right to, even if you're wrong!" hahaha...
