I'm driving to San Francisco from L.A. Do you cross the Golden Gate Bridge in order to get to San Fran? I would like to avoid this bridge. Afraid of heights. Anyone have directions?

No, the bridge is on the Northern part of SF. I am from near SF. There are no bridges that you need to cross. Just go up 101, or use 5 and cross over to the 101 on 152 (I believe). No, bridges or heights. Just don't use the 1 as it will take really really long, and there is this really cool twisty road near the end that goes way up on the coast line and has a great view from a good height called devil's slide

No, you go south; the bridge is at the north end of the city.

Not unless you are taking the extra long way to L.a.
