Connecting 2 females with 1 double male, is it possible?

I bought the wrong serial cable for my Palm m505 on ebay so a return is not possible. My computer and the serial cable both have 9 pin female connectors. Will a double male adapter work? are they available? Where do I get one? or am I wasting my time and money?

Yes - it'll work. Pick one up at a electronics/computer store or Radio Shack.

As long as it's okay with the females it should work.
