would protect against terrorism and drug money laundering by keeping track and record of all transactions, many of these "small businesses" and convenience stores money launder and don't give receipts, gov. feels ok if pay taxes (like al capone, mainly charged for not paying taxes on ill-gotten gains lol), but no record of transaction, wouldn't it be good then you could return your rotten milk and have a record of purchase lol place in bone where could not be removed easily, and bone would show tampering lol

It would certainly be convenient, and would help combat certain problems such as terrorism, however, new problems would be created.

What about privacy? Everything you do could, and would be monitored, without your knowledge or consent.

What lengths would people go to to obtain a chip? Depending on where the chip is implanted, a new type of crime could be born!
