Yeswantpur is about 10-12kms from MG road. There are no direct buses. Best way is to walk down (5mins) to Shivajinagar Bus stand.

Bus Nos..

64, 79A, 251C, 252K, 259, 252N, 258N

Basically, most buses to Peenya, Nelamangala and Tumkur Rd and some to Jalahalli pass through Yeswantpur.

Alternately, u can take buses going towards Vijayanagar, Rajajinagar, RPC Layout also from Shivajinagar and get down at Malleshwaram Circle/Sampige. From there u get loads of buses. All buses in 257, 258, 259 series go to Yeswantpur. Almost every alternate bus goes to YPR.

Should take you 30 mins. However peak hours just triple your commute time and it can go up to an hour and a half. City Taxi will be comfortable. If you want a more economical option use an Auto Rickshaw. I don't recommend buses in Bangalore. They are usually too crowded and just not worth the discomfort.
