you're being charged for usage... when the power goes out they don't just keep on charging you, they have no way of doing that because your home isn't drawing energy.. why do you think they have those meter men that walk around and check the meters on the outside of your house? and besides, its usually something out of their hands that has caused the power to go out, like say the forces of nature, they cant control whether or not a tree limb falls on a power line outside your house or onto a transformer, or if ice forms on the lines and becomes too heavy and just rips the lines down, these things can't be controlled. thats almost like saying you should pay your employer for anytime that you're late to work, even if it was caused by extenuating circumstances, such as a flat tire or an accident on your way to work

It's not worth it. Your average bill is almost all usage. The actual monthly service charge is something like $5. Suppose power was out for one day. Your rebate should be something like $5/30 = 17 cents.

Big deal...

No they just provide your power. If something goes wrong its not their fault and they have to pay people to fix. It's not like they charge you for the power when its broke.

No, but it should pay you if things go to waste: it would be very absurd if that happens cuz they are working hard to get your electricity back. It aint like they are charging you when you are not using it

No, but after it comes back on you should be able to use as much as you want for free for the same length of time it was out.

Yes we are paying them to KEEP it on, why should we continue paying for their mistake? I think its a scam to get free money from us for nothing...
