Is there a website or a retailer someone could point me to so I could get them at a discounted price.

Here's a little known fact for you: most large retailers sell laptops at a loss. Why? They make money on laptop accessories (laptop bags, software, service plans, etc.)

Diversify you inventory to the point that your profit from other products can cover the loss incurred in selling a laptop. This is how Walmart does it. This is the problem with selling low or no-margin items.

Why not do a "shopping service" instead, and charge for installation, virus cleanup, checkups, upgrades, and so on?

You should be able to get wholesale pricing from the manufacturers or one of their distributors.
