You need a few pairs of nice dress pants, some nice trendy jeans, button down shirts, ties, sweaters. fasioniable sneakers(they come in different colors and look like a cross between a shoe and a sneaker), some nice dress shoes( toes depends on body hieght and frame(try on with pants).
NEVER EVER GET PLEATS IN YOUR PANTS OR JEANS TACKY and a turn off. a good leather belt and a casual belt to start. some casual jackets to start.
Try outlets malls. Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's .
I would go for good quality clothing and build your wardrobe over time rather them just buy a bunc of items that will not last. My son started to do this about 2 years ago (he is 6'3" tall} and now has a sixeable wardrobe.
Also follow care instructions. If it is an item you would wear often but says DRY CLEAN ONLY and you won't go to the dry cleaner, then pass on the item. A leather coat on the other hand needs to go to the dry cleaner less often.
Buy good fabrics and manitain them and you will have you style for a long time to come.
Good Luck. REMEMBER NO PLESTS!!!

Obviously, your work clothes should differ from your casual clothes. Your look depends on several factors. What type of place do you hang out at? Do you have a girlfriend? Are you looking for a girlfriend? Or boyfriend? In general, think about this... What makes you look educated, sexy, cool and comfortable in your own skin? In the end, you must be confident about how you look. If you are selfconscious and uncomfortable, it will show. A nice shirt, some stylish blue jeans and shoes that don't look like you picked them up off the lawn at a frat house are always a safe bet.

If your office is professional, then you have to adhere to the dress codes. why do you feel the need to change your style? If you need help go to http://www.askmen.com or gq magazine maybe a man could shed more light on the subject for you.
