Many years ago, I was homeless & my little girl was with me. In despair, I had sat down on the pavement with her in my arms. I was beyond crying. I was in shock. I'd tried everything, been to so many places trying to get some help but no joy anywhere.
I'd been sitting there for less than 5 minutes, when this older guy rushed up to me, stuck a £10 note in my hand & without saying anything, got into his car & drove away! I looked at his car as it disappeared & saw a sticker in the back window, which read:
"Jesus loves you."
I smiled! I didn't know that!
That guy must have either thought I was begging or he just somehow knew I needed help.
Anyway, that money got us a bed for the night in a small guest house & it boosted my hope & courage to such an extent I was able to carry on the fight for our survival.

Karma has a very strong influence in my own personal belief - everything we do has an effect upon the future. This is trrue to say about everybody you meet too. If I follow this through to the most logical point, it would have to be that everyone you meet has some 'force' to bear upon your life. And if that is the case, the more obvious the situation is, the more probable the lesson to be learnt by that encounter. This is relevant when you consider "canadian_chick0678's" & "jillionsing's" answers - thanks for sharing them with us.
Pretty much like every answer you read in "Answers," there is something in the way of a message or lesson for everyone.
Always view that next meeting with a perfect stranger as a possible turning point in your life.

I met a man during a serious accident, who later died in the hospital after that fateful day. It was only a few minutes in life where I was able to really reach out to a complete stranger and try to help them, to be with them in their few final moment here on earth. That experience has changed my life drastically. I no longer take my life for-granted. When I was severely depressed that's exactly what I did. I didn't realize how important my own life truly was, how lucky I was to be here, to experience everything that I have. A better day emerged from then on that gave me hope and took me out of the darkness. I look forward to every sunset, every sunrise now and every minute I spend with my son because I know how precious time truly is. Had I not had this experience, I may not be here to know what it was like to have the beautiful and loving son I do today.
I have also learned to stand up for other religions despite what other people may say-as his was totally the opposite of mine and harshly criticized- and to accept people in general no matter what their differences are, as we are all one and the same. Here for only a few brief moments in time but to leave a lasting impression on the lives of others forever.

Yes, it is true. You can meet someone, a total stranger and your life can turn upside down in a second. I also had a brief conversation with someone once that turned my whole life around. I was in a rut. My husband was never around. I was lonely, tired, and needed someone to just listen to me. This was the most poignant moment of my life. I was made to feel worthy again.. important...like I was somebody. I then illustrated a children's book, took a chance at a new life...and found out I was not only my own person, I was the "old" me that I lost. Yes, it can happen

Yes it can and it has happened to me, I will always talk and listen to people as I think they may not have a soul in the world so you may be the only person that they talk to that day so I do and I listen and I have learnt a thing or two . The 5Min's of your time you give to someone is time well spent and may change your outlook on life

perhaps this is shyness. purely attempt to open your self as much as people. perhaps all people at your college is ignorant and rude and doesnt such as you for the style you seem? if i became you, i think of i'd get a hair decrease, purchase some outfits in-style, and actual purely refer to somebody who would desire to introduce u to different ppl. i shake with shows too ;) lots of folk do.its purely that we arent the style thats stable with public speeches and crowds. theres no longer something or no person responsible approximately being shy and im no longer the sought after baby and im good interior the middle.its no longer elementary yet u can rly purely make extra acquaintances and have people to circulate to in case you truly try. or circulate randomly at shops or restaraunts around city and refer to people around your age,or tht appear like it and probably ull be acquaintances with a random guy or woman.or attempt to get a woman pal (: then you would be acquaintances withher acquaintances too and it will help your shyness, sorry my suggestion isnt very stable-im in basic terms thirteen. yet i wish i helped (:
