My daughter had thrush a little when she was a newborn. She had white patches in her mouth... If there are no signs of it then there is no need to worry about it. While breastfeeding be sure to change nursing pads frequently and to keep the breast clean as much as possible because the leakage can get caked up and cause a blockage or infection in the breast. If you are missing a feeding for whatever reason then milk should be expressed manually or with a pump. This will not only keep the milk flowing as normal but will also avoid infection and other problems. Before breastfeeding my daughter, I used to wipe each nipple with a baby wipe. It just put my mind at better ease knowing that I had somewhat disinfected the area before exposing her... Best of luck and no worries it should be fine. However if you suspect thrush or some kind of rash/infection then you should consult your pediatrician or family doctor about it just to be sure...

Thrush can be transferred to the breast as well. I was breastfeed and got thrush and passed it to my mom. My mom quite breastfeeding me because of it. From what I understand breastfeeding if you have thrush is a pain that is indescribable.
