I enjoy watching this programme. I like the way they work from old clues and, it is true that people, who at the time of the murder, tend to assess the relevance of the information they give the police but after a time has passed they can be made to divulge what they may have considered as an irrelevant fact. I also think that it may have had a good effect on the police force of today, who are now solving crimes from long ago, with the help of the new scientific breakthroughs. This not only brings the perpetrators to justice but gives some closure the the family of the victims. Just because a case is old doesn't mean it should be forgotten about. A serious crime, such as murder, affects the whole family and some cannot regain any semblence of a life until the perpetrator is apprehended and jailed. It can mean it is not only the victim that died but a whole family unit destroyed.

Love the series but it does get a bit boring when after every set of ads they go back over what they went over before- and then at the next set of ads......and the next!!! It is really amazing how they finally solve the cases. Usually it is someone who has had no previous connection with the case that picks up on some piece of evidence that leads to a connection with the perpetrator.

I love watching them, they are real stories that the police have dealt with and are sharing on the TV. My grandmother used to have a police scanner and we used to listen to police chases, etc on the radio. I love this show I like criminal, police stories, CSI, etc.

Cold case files are the ones that the police have given up on but either since fresh blood in the department, or more likely, newer technology, police now can track down criminals of the past. I wish justice were served on everyone who broke the law, I only wish more patrol cars were out there to see how many times I've been cuttoff, or high beamed, or whatever. :-)

It depends. I like when the cases are thrown back 40-50-60 years they have cool costumes music and it makes it more interesting seeing as the technology back then was primitive and the y make something out of nothing ,the shows that are cold 30 years or less are kind of boring
