I am in my 25th week and I normally walk very fast. My husband and my relatives advise me to walk slowly during te pregnancy. But I am unable to control myself and I walk very fastly. be it at home or in the road my wlaking is bit fast. And I dont feel any discomforts due to this kind of walking. So please anyone advise me whether this kind of walking is fine for a pregnant woman like me.

Your pregnant not dissabled or sick. Do whatever you like.

What you can think about is if you walk fast because of beeing stressed. If that's the case do something about the stress and having worried family might be a good chance to get them to step up to the plate.

I'm normally a fast walker too, but found that since hitting my 24th week, I had to slow down a bit because I would get dizzy and the baby felt as though he was placing much more pressure on my bladder! I see no problem with your walking quickly if it is not having any unpleasant physical effects on you. Some women remain completely active throughout their pregnancy, running and swimming and doing other activities...and their babies are fine. Walk fast if you prefer because I'm sure you'll be slowing down eventually, even if you would rather not. Congrats and good luck on your pregnancy!

Walk any way that is comfortable. I can see where they would say its bad since some women just cannot walk fast due to the waddle that developes from hips spreading etc... I waddled very early in pregnancy so I was slow...it just depends on how youre built.

I don't see why not. Walk how you want.

If exercise is good for pregnancy, then walking fast is ok.

As long as you're not making yourself dizzy or in any pain or discomfort walk however YOU feel comfortable walking. If everyone is so concerned, you might want to bring it up to your OB next time you're in.

that's fine. if you feel comfortable with it you are fine. i was running right until the day before i had baby and even though i had low blood pressure. i think it actually helps with childbirth as you are physically stronger, people need to remember that when you are pregnant you are not sick you are just having a baby. keep it up! and congrats!!
