I want to know if I can change my e-mail from sbcglobal.net to Yahoo.com

Yes.
You still have your sbc but you just set up a Yahoo.
I have had the same Yahoo email for ten years! Why? Because I move around and change Internet providers. I would always be having to tell my friends my new email. With Yahoo my email stays the same. I never use my Inet provider as an email only as a way of connecting to the Inet. :-p
