Yes of course, my best friend practically is my sister. We call eachother sisters, and tell people we're sisters (even though they don't believe us because we look nothing alike) as a joke. But yes, it is normal to refer to someone as your sibling- its a complimentive way of declaring your adoration and respect of another person. I love having someone call me their sister. hope that helps you!

Its absolutely normal. Brothers and sisters don't have to be declared biologically...its what you feel for someone in the heart.

My cousin declared me as her sister. It's absolutely normal. I feel flattered. it means that a person feels very close to you like a brother or a sister.
