My female guppy just gave birth to 4 fish 2 days ago. I see a whole bunch of egg patches around the tank. Now she is swimming upside down with her head always below her body. Can I do anything to help her?

If your fish is moving, it probably does have swim bladder. Go to a store that specializes in fish, not a pet store, if possible. They carry a wider variety and better quality products than your local pet store.
Also, since guppies are live breeders, those "egg patches" aren't eggs, unless you have another kind of fish in the tank that could have laid them.
There are a few things they could be, so ask when you go to the store to get the medication for the guppy. Take a photo, if you can so they can actually see what is in your tank.

Guys she said SWIMMING. I think she'd know if it were dead, else the fins wouldn't be moving..lol. :P

Your best bet is to look it up on the internet. I've read about fish swimming upside down.. something's wrong. Maybe a bladder problem like one of the answerers said. Remember, the internet is full of any information you may ever need. Simply do a google search of "guppy fish swimming upside down sickness" or something like that. Chances are, you'll find a website that explains the behavior and possible solutions. Good luck! :D

Guppies don't lay eggs. They are live breeders(meaning they give birth to live young). If you are sure that the fish isn't dead(as they float upside down when they die) then it probably has Swim Bladder disease. They sell medications for this at your local pet store if you want to try to save it.

A fish swimming upside down is usually a sign that they are about to die. You could do a search on the internet to see if there is anything you can do to help her, but I really doubt it.

I have the same problem with my goldfish. It could be a medical problem that causes this but somebody also mentioned to me that it could be that they have air in there stomach, causing there belly to rise. Could be.
