Absolutely awesome and yet they have a somewhat frightening edge to them because they are capable of unbelievable power and destruction !! A lot of tornados come from them and here where I am, in North Texas, those are things that happen quite frequently and are entities not to be messed with at all--they will kick your butt royal !!
Have had three tornados roll right over the top of my sweet tail in my lifetime--- the one in April 1979 was the second largest ever recorded with wind speeds of over 500 mph--- I rode this dog out with my head under a concreted-in bench in front of a Dillard's Dept store inside a shopping mall with cars from the parking lot slapping the outside of the building like hailstones !!
Want Super Cells--- come to North Texas in two months (April) and you'll get a chance to dodge as many of them as you care to stick around for !!!

We had a supercell last year. It was scary due to the tornadoes popping up all over but I love storms. I love the lightening, the thunder, and the louder the better. My dog however, does not do well in storms.I'd rather have a storm than this blizzard we are having at the moment in Illinois.
