Be sure you take a prenatal vitamin every day, and make sure it has folic acid in it. This is very important. Other than that, keep eating the fiber, because your going to need it in a month or two, I promise. Make sure your diet is balanced, follow the food guide pyramid carefully.

Many old folks will tell you you are eating for two, but this old adage is not good health. You need to consume an extra 300-500 calories a day, which is not at all enough for two people.

Also, exercise! Very, very important, because if you gain too much pregnancy weight, you greatly increase your chances of having a c section birth.

The best thing you can do is take vitamins especially folic acid which is good for healthy cell formation.Eat healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables, chicken and fish,I drank silk soy milk mostly and my son was born very healthy.Water and juice is good but be careful with the juice because it has alot of sugar.Avoid tea,I heard it can cause a miscarriage. And walk because it will keep you in shape and is safe for the baby.I wasn't able to take lamaz classes but I heard they help alot so maybe you should check that out.Get plenty of rest before the baby comes because your going to need it.And congratulations on the new baby!!!How exciting!!!Oh and invest in a rocking chair, the rocking lulls the baby to sleep and it's more comfortable to sit in while you nurse.Good luck and best of wishes!!

Your gynae will prescribe the necessary vitamins. Just include almonds, broccoli, fish, a little liver and banana in your diet.

However, Broadbeans are no no and no Ginger too for the time being. Try staying off smoking and pain killers (unless prescribe by your gynae). Meantime, no alcohol - 'cold' liquor expecially whiskey, gin, vodka... Plenty of rest with legs prop up if swollen.

Do have a wonderful pregnancy.

I would highly suggest that you go and see your doctor, he will be able to determine the best food intake and prescribe a good prenatal vitamin that is good for you. I only answered this way because you did not indicate you had gone to the doctors but if you had gone you would not be asking right?

My doctor prescribed my prenatal vitamins because she said the ones I got from the store weren't good enough. Here are some great websites with lots of helpful information: babycenter.com, babyzone.com, americanbaby.com, & babygaga.com.

Folic Acid tablets from the pharmacy are good and there are also tablets specifically for Pregnany you can buy from the Pharmacy. Foods high in Folate are good also. Talk to your midwife about what foods are good also.

I'VE NEVER BEEN PREGNANT ,BUT MAKE SURE YOU DON'T EAT TOO MUCH FISH. IT CONTAINS MERCURY WHICH IS HARMFUL TO THE DEVELOPING FETUS. TUNA FISH IS ALSO HARMFUL. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOU PRE NATAL VITAMINS AND GET PLENTY OF REST. FAST FOOD IS ALRIGHT BUT LIMIT YOURSELF TO TOO MUCH, YOU DON'T WANT TO GAIN A LOT OF WEIGHT.YOU CAN ALSO EAT FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES AND A LIMITED AMOUNT OF CAFFINE BUT DOUBLE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT HOW MUCH SO YOU DONT MISS OUT ON THAT MORNING CUP OF JOE
