It depends upon what things you are going to shop.
1)For apparels,lauxmi road offers more varieties
2) For electrical items Budhwar peth area is
best and cheap
3)For gold ornaments/pearls Sonya Maruti Chowk
4)For hardware items Boher galli

It depends on what you're looking for and what price range.

Camp is usually on the high end. Boat Club Road by Dhole Patil Road has an array of boutiques - very classy.
MG Road has a road side full of stores.

Laxmi Road is the place for great bargains from clothes to jewellery to medicine, u name it! You do get some good stuff...but you'll have to deal with HEAVY traffic (and I mean people). So plan to spend a day there (only on Laxmi Road).

Then there are malls: Pune Central (very close to the railway station) by Bund Garden, and the newest ones by Camp. One right across from Dorabjee's (gourmet grocery)!

Laxmi Road, Deccan Area, or neat Chaturshrungi Temple new malls are there.
