Perhaps we think that if we explain something well enough, the other person will understand what we mean. Usually, as you say, it's pointless :-)

No Point --- because the prevailing force of attitude is "It,s our way or No Way" so instead of pointless "Engaging" in Futile and Useless Discussions we should simply re-establish our way of Life - and those that don,t comply should be "Encouraged" to Change or "Go Away"
