I'm moving into a new place and am afraid that my queen size box spring will not bend around the curve in the stairs to get to the bedroom in one piece. Does anyone know where I can purchase a box spring that collapses or folds in half? Is there even such a thing?

Yes, they do exist. They are constructed to fold in half to allow passage in small spaces. We bought one for our king-size mattress (which was also constructed specifically to fold in half for the same reasons) in Seattle and they were common there since bungalow style house with narrow stairways and tight corners are the norm. Ours came from the big mattress store that sold us our mattress. Ask around and you'll find one easily.
