Well, Vinnie does not bring to mind someone intelligent or attractive. Vince is a bit stereotyped too. Vin is "new"....tho it's difficult not to relate it to Vin Diesel.
I'd go with Vin, if I had to choose.

why must people find a nickname out of your real name??? why cant you just call the guy by his real name. nicknames are OK sometimes but not always it makes some people feel that their identity means nothing.. i like a few of my nicknames when it doesn't have to do with my real name but when people mess with my real name it pisses me off i have a real name for a reason, if my mom and dad wanted my name to be shorten they would have done it. save the nickname for something he does all the time leave his real name out of it.. call him VINCENT that's his name use it......
