Ok, my definition of ricer. An import car, usually a honda civic, with big rims, stickers all over, a ridiculously huge spoiler, a body kit in primer, a fart can on stock exhaust and absolutely no mods under the hood and the owner acts like it's a top fuel dragster. I have nothing against imports, I just prefer v-8s and nothing makes me more nervous at the track than an Acura, civic or STI that looks stone stock and sounds far from it. Those are the guys that put their money in the right place.

Seriously, I can't stand the noises, they're so annoying. And the main part of it is that they're not fast, it's just for show. I mean you take a Porsche that barely makes any noise under acceleration and it'll smoke all of them. Those cars make so much noise while accelerating its enough to wake up half the city. I can't stand those cars. I would rather spend that money on something useful, like a car that actually sounds like one.

I believe that most would rather have a nice looking car than adding performance parts on it just because they like it that way. I'm asian and I don't see a problem with that. It's not like I go around saying how ugly all the ford mustangs are and say stuff like " why do they have that ugly a s s front?" :P. But I probably wouldn't mind adding that stuff on my car then put some performance stuff on it.

i like the so called "ricer" cars, i have 2003 subaru sti and it sounds tough with a cannon exhaust, it scares a lot of people. these cars are in these days, there easy to get parts for and you can modify them your self, these days the V8's are more complicated other than the ones say 30 years ago. i like a big V8 over japanese cars but the only reason i have an sti is because i can't get insurance for a V8 yet (as am not old enough yet). i don't have anuthing again japanese imports, i like a lot of them but i do prefer a V8 (also i don't think it is appropriate to asociate japanese cars as "ricers")

Sound like those things are very expensive and you just being jealous because you can't afford to add on. Who care about what they have on their cars and how they drive it. If that bothering so much then don't look at them, nobody criticized about what you're driving, by the way what kind of POS you're driving anyway?

I find it silly at times, especially modding out a very slow car and spending alot of money on it, and in the end you still have a slow car. I guess to each his own though, its good to have a hobby.
As long as some idiot isnt street racing and being dangerous on public roads, i have no problem with it.

I love imports, I hate riceboys. Actually I love all cars, anyone who takes the time to tastefully wrench on their their cars and not just slap useless garbage on their car is ok in my book, whether is be a gutted civic hatch with ITBs howling down the track, or some good ol american muscle shaking the concrete its all good.
I have quite a few pet peeves about riceboys:
Carbon fiber hoods on full trim vehicles, what are you thinking? I recently did some serious weight reduction in my STi, on the order of removing door cards, rear seats, notching the rear deck, and I still don't see the point in the safety hazard of a carbon fiber hood. I'm not quite willing to give up the crumple zones and risk decapitation for a few lbs, aluminum hood is fine.
Park bench wing on a FWD car, or even RWD car that isn't tuned it, what are you thinking? My STi came with a wing and I swapped that shopping cart handle out for a wingless truck shortly after I bought the car. I can say that at the track I noticed that the car wasn't at planted at 130+ but the wing was hideous to me. On a FWD car, I just don't get.
Altezza tail lights. Used to look great on the Altezza(IS300) but after seeing every riceboy and their mother with them on, I can't stand them on any car. I was a little dissapointed in subaru for making it's latest gen with tail lights that are reminiscent of altezzas.
melon launcher exhaust, what are you thinking? I am SOOO sick of hearing these things that sound somewhat like a swarm of bees trapped in a can FROM BLOCKS AWAY. My STi is by no means quiets, but I picked the best compromise by going catless and slapping a borla "hush" on the back end with an e-cutout off of the DP for those times when I really want to scream(the turbo loves no backpressure). I am so tired of hearing these nippleheads with the fart cannons making all this noise and not even having anything to back it up, noise should go hand in hand with speed, there is no reason to have something that slow, be that loud.
What is it with the blue headlights? They went FAR beyond imitating xenon and now have safety hazard blue lights. The instant the ground is wet the blue lights are useless, not to mention they annoy the hell out of me and hurt my eyes at night. And what is it with morons putting HID capsules in housings that are meant for halogen lights. The stray light is a safety hazard to everyone else. I love seeing these when I'm in my merc, a little taste of the bi-xenon in their eyes and I'm sure they see dots for the next hour. Hurt my eyes? Don't mind if I blind you then.
What is it with burning out, am I missing something? Ok, with slicks and a prepped track, burning out to scrub the tires and get them nice and toasty is cool, but on street tires with a 100hp car, WHY??? My automatic merc can roast the tires for DAYS if I let it(over 500lb-ft helps) but why would I want to waste my tires and possibly stink up my interior?
The worst of all is the driving of these idiots. I built my STi to be a fun daily drivable car, that is a blast to drive at the track, and I track it regularly. What is it with the morons that seem to think street racing is the endall? As it sits right now my STi is at 438whp on pump gas(always 76 91 octane), I see full boost by about 4500(about 4k with my cutout open) and with an AWD launch would molest 99.9% of these retards out there giving imports a bad name, yet they insist on toying with me, the worst part is they try it in commuter traffic when I'm on my way to work or on my way home, WHY???? What does weaving in and out of traffic prove, that you are stupid enough to take other people's lives into your hands? Even more pathetic is when these retards try to get me to race in my merc, is it a badge of honor or something? Again, 99% of these toads that try to get me to race would have their *** handed to them even with my merc. I'd be more than happy to meet up with these retards at the strip or at the track, but the instant you mention something about legal racing they burnout and and run away.
I don't know what else to tell you. I'm really a to each his own kind of guy, but I too am sick and tired of them, I'm glad the laws are getting tougher and tougher.
Sorry for the novel, heated subject to me.
