I agree, most women do not want to wear a skirt. The reason for a skirt or dress is that a woman could pee in the fields, almost like a man. In today's society, there is no need foe a female to wear a skirt.
What a shame? I do believe that women do look better in skirts.

I like to wear skirts and dresses more than pants, but sometimes it is not very practical. When it is cold, pants are warmer for the legs. Also, now some women are working jobs that they cannot do with a dress or skirt on, like working in a factory around machines that can catch a skirt, or working where they have to climb ladders.

You try wearing one all day long with pantyhose underneath. The pantyhose is made entirely of synthetic material so expect your feet to sweat, and (possibly) your 'panty' area also. Overtop of this you will put on a skirt; underneath this a slip. You will walk outside my front door only to be literally 'bowled over' by gusts of wind in temperatures hovering around minus 25 degrees centigrade. Within seconds you will find yourself flying through the air only to land flat on your butt with a hard 'thud' on the ice (your skirt now wrapped around your head). Those fragile-looking "beautiful" (expensive) 'made-in-Italy" shoes are not terribly useful now, are they? Now LOOK, you've broken a heel! Arrghhhh...crap, hell, dammit all anyway I'm gonna be late just keep going gotta run like hell now... You pull yourself together and hope that you don't experience frostbite - severe enough to require amputation of any toes - before you manage to make it to work: bruised, limping and exhausted. Just BARELY alive.
The moral of the story is that 'beautiful' may not be practical, or even functional. Where I live you will see very few women walking about in skirts. As we have just seen, they can be a safety hazard and are much more trouble than they are worth!

OK, here are my reasons: panty hose are so expenisive and they get runs in them so easily. The weather is too cold and my legs need warmth. The shoes that go with skirts have heels which are uncomfortable and unstable on icy sidewalks. In summer, it is easier, but then it is all about shaving/waxing.

I love skirts but it's cold right now and that cheesecake tends to freeze up a little.:)

bc its cold...or some women are just insecure...i feel like if i wear a skirt even though i have a nice figure i will be screaming for attention and i dont want attention
