That is a good thing, to have good friends,.....mine is to be with my children....
I take them to school, pick them up, do homework with them, take them to practice, friends' houses, etc. I owe this to my husband. He has taken it upon himself to work overtime, at a great job that has great medical and retirement benefits so that I don't have to work. This is in California where so many of people I know have two income homes. I thank my husband so much for his sacrifice so that I can be with our children to raise them and appreciate them.
That is not to say he is not a part of our lives, though. He takes vacations with us, the weekends, etc, but he is just the greatest man I have met, and I guess I'm thanking him publicly.
I was a single mom for seven years and came home from work and did homework, made dinner, everything else, then went to bed and did it again the next day. I do not regret that, but things seem so natural right now with me being with my children, I am jsut so happy right now.

This is very inspirational to hear from you. There is no doubt that an ability to choose good friends out of many people can make your happiness increased and strength manifold in life. This ability alone can lead one to a much better and accurate knowledge and understanding their life. And if I am asked what experience would stands me in good stead in life then I would say that surely is, as will always be, of a great use of my friendships. But unfortunately, I have not had all the good experiences in this regard in the past, as I have not been able to choose some of my friends much judiciously and the harm caused by my indiscretion has been both heartbreaking and devastating up to this day. And this is for this one important reason that I have decided to respond to your question with a strong support of what you find is the best in your life right from the outset. This surely is also the best in the life of all people, as like myself, most people often do realise sooner or later if they lack the ability of the wisdom of making good friends, and keeping them close to them.
The philosophical aspects of this topic, as usual, provoke some further thought. I can, for example, ask can I really identify what is really best in my life, and then put that best in best possible words for expression? Will I be able to see all that is all but the best in my life, for I believe we all see and know with the best we are? If an eye, that is best for seeing, can see everything but itself, can I know my best without another best deeper still in my life that I see cannot see yet, but I see with?
I know, I need friends and people who I can relate to, and who I can share my life with, and then obviously there are other people who like me in a similar capacity, but there is something between me and the people I choose that can never be measure, the value of which we can never ascertain to come to conclusion that that is the best and all. For example, there must be something very important and valuable in you that enables to choose good friends, something that is exclusively yours, something that belongs to you by virtue of you being you, something that is genuinely representative of your own being, something that makes you choose only those people that you find good friends in, and not just about anyone in the world.
