I think it's great. It sounds strong and masculine, and not overused or trendy.

Actually, for me, it doesn't "roll off the tongue," well.
And, one answerer had a good sugg. re: Ellis, but, I think that is a far streatch.
For me, Ellis & Christopher don't go together: I would choose the favorite of the two and go from there.
If you're stuck on E. for an initial Ebony but then there could be jokes about Ebony Woods . . .
Christopher . . .Woods; Ellis (she's right--sounds like a girl).
There used to be a book based not only on ethnicity--therefore, a Celtic Name to go w/a Celtic Name; and, on sound, etc. It was a great book & I believe it has come back out; I'd try Barnes & Noble.
Christopher Woods is Very Strong in my opinion. Any other family names that might "flow" w/it ???
Christopher Matthews/Mathus Woods.
Christopher Gene Woods.
Thomas Christopher Woods.
Christopher Allan Woods--I like that.
Robert Christopher Woods.
Steven Christopher Woods.
Xavier Christopher Woods.
Afraid that's all i've got !!

Ellis sounds odd in that combination, but I really like Christopher Woods. So I'd suggest find a different first name.
James Chris Woods
Alan Chris Woods
Evan Chris Woods

Not big on Ellis, sounds like a town. Prefer Emmitt Christopher Woods.

I like Elijah Christopher Woods.
For short you can call him Ellis or Elias. This way you give him a choice for a full name for later on in life to put on job applications.
Very nice strong sounding name.

For a boy I would just swap it around to Christopher Ellis Woods, that would be great then.

I like Ellis. I have only heard it as a last name but I like it as a first name a lot.

Ellis? Isn't that where the Europeans went when they came over here at the beginning of the last century?

depends on what you plan on calling him. truthfully , sounds a little pretentious to me if you want the truth, I do like Christopher though but can live without the Ellis part.

I love it, but on the other hand, Ellis sounds a bit like a girls name (Elise), so you might want to rethink it so other kids at school wouldn't pick on him as he gets older.
