Not most women, no. But a good number of perfectly normal, pyschologically and emotionally healthy women do have rape fantasies. I know I've had the occasional one. But then again, there's hardly a fantasy I haven't given consideration to, and found at least mildly erotic.
I suppose it's hard to say what is rape, in these cases. If you want rape, then it invalidates the term- it becomes somewhat more like forceful, violent sex, but nonetheless sex that you want. And if you don't want it, then getting pleasure from it is impossible.
I have my own theory- that the women who do want this do not, in fact, want to be raped, per se, but to be at the hands of a strong man (or woman) who would, were she not willing, then rape her. She is willing- she wants it- but if she didn't, the sex would still be forced on her, and that's what makes her want it, the knowledge that she is, indeed, helpless at her 'rapist's' mercy. It is an act of ultimate surrender. So she may struggle and protest and push away (in her fantasy) because it is only more demonstrative of this power imbalance. The desire for such a helplessness and complete lack of power or control doesn't mean anything bad about the women- they can be strong, proud, independent women in their lives, but have this secret feeling that they occasionally like to indulge with a fantasy. It doesn't indicate masochism, a desire to be hurt, or any other psychological impairment.
Some women may also enjoy it because it allows them the "freedom" to do acts that they would not otherwise do. For example, a woman may be too timid in her mind to admit an interest in anal sex or multiple partners, but if her fantasy rapist(s) tie her down and force it upon her, then she has no choice but to be part of the act, to surrender to it, and enjoy it because it is not a choice she made, and thus doesn't reflect on her. This is very common.
As for me, I would never want to be raped in real life. It's a horrible, terrible, awful thing. But I like my fantasies raunchy, and if that means running away from a man who's chasing me and finally pins me to the ground, from being held down and screwed by a roving band of butch lesbians, to having a gun at the temple of my head as I lower my mouth to suck on whatever I'm being forced to suck in a dirty alleyway. . . then I enjoy them. Implicit in it all is that I want this (otherwise how could it be my fantasy?) and the mode of rape is a means to express these power dynamics.
Hope that helps!

Omg I'm only 14 and I fantasies about this a lot. It's always with guys Ik and that I am attracted to. So jeering rape I secretly want it but Ik it's wrong because I'm to young. In the fantasies the guy raps me not because he won't sot hurt me but cause he really wants me and can't live another second without me. He never hurts me. He is kind but ferm.
A total different fantasy is when I give consent and we have rough sex and I'm dominant. I don't know sometimes like fighting

Cando86 is the only one who understood this question and actually got it right.
It is not that any normal woman wants to be raped...heck NO that is not the point. We are talking fantasy here and that is the important distinction.
The reason that the rape fantasy is so popular (and yes, according to all the research it is) is because it absolves the woman from any responsibility for anything that she would do. If she is powerless to resist, then it is not her fault right? That is the logic behind it as it allows a woman full rein with her fantasies. They are not her fault if she is being forced, this leaves her free to enjoy here deepest, darkest fantasies.
I need to reiterate, this is only a fantasy and no woman actually wants to be raped.
Rape IS an act of violence and no normal would would want that. We are speaking here strictly of a fantasy, either one that exists totally in a woman's mind and no where else, or perhaps shared with a loving partner.
It has no correlation with an actual wish to be raped.

I've never fantasized about being raped.
To be honest, I've fantasized about killing rapists - about someone trying to assualt me or a lover, and then me killing that person - slowly, carefully, as painfully as possible (tying someone up, slowly stripping away his flesh, cutting out his eyes, breaking all his fingers, eventual castration, etc). I've never met any women who wanted to be raped, but I've had several lovers who shared my rapist-killing/revenge fantasy (and it wasn't as if we told each other about this until we'd known each other for a long time).
Then again, I'm a top. I'm a domme. I'm butch and rough and aggressive. I've been with plenty of girls who are the opposite. I've done hardcore scenes and made girls cry before I f ucked them. I've cut words in people's backs wth knives. I've penetrated a woman with a knife. It's not the same as rape - there's consent implicit in all of this. She can say carrots and it's over.
Rape fantasies exist - but I would doubt that they exist in most women by any means.

Please don't confuse the issue, women don't fantasize about being brutally raped, but some women have fantasies about being sexual dominated in a safe environment with a trusted partner. They are not really being forced to have sex, they are just role playing. It is known as a submission fantasy and should not be compared to fantasizing about rape, which is a brutal and evil crime.

okay well I'm pretty sure your gonna get alot of **** on this one but ill assume that it is a legitimate question, there is no woman on this planet who fantasizes about being raped for real, it could possibly be that her partner (husband, boyfriend ) had fantasies about raping a woman so they will act out the fantasy together, she is aware that its just harmless fun between the two of them her partner knowing quiet well that she is consenting to it as does she know that he would never physically harm her, no woman would want to be raped by a stranger its a terrifying horrific act on another human being

Well, I've heard lots of women tell me they fantasise about being raped ... but when I asked them to describe the fantasy in detail, they were NOT rape fantasies. They were either rough sex/ravishment/domination fantasies, or, more often, "reluctant" fantasies, where the woman says "no" or otherwise resists, but is secretly loving it.
I have never met any woman who REALLY fantasised about rape.

I don't think so. I have heard of women fantasizing about being tied up, but I think it has more to do with willingly giving up control of their body to someone else than it does with being forced to have sex.
There are erotic romance novels in which a woman is initially being forced to have sex, only to realize that she in fact was only fighting her own desire, and then she inevitably succumbs to his passionate advances. Rubbish.
The "rape" fantasy is typically nothing more than coming to terms with an inhibition. In the fantasy, she is too inhibited to give in, but the "rapist" persists, and she finally overcomes her inhibition and gives in to pleasure.

Rape is an act of VIOLENCE and unless she is a masochist it is highly unlikely that she fantasizes about it for the simple reason most people to not enjoy violence being committed upon them. The psychological impact on the victim is generally worse than the physical.
