If you're American, it's what us Brits call a baby carriage. It's also short for perambulator

When I was young enough to be pushed about in a stroller (early 1960's) my mom had what she called a "pram." It was this large black thing on giant wheels... it either laid flat, so that a baby could lay down in it (with the option of a hood for shade or that, too could lay flat), or it could be moved into an upright position for seating toddlers. We had that thing for almost forever, and then it faded into the past somewhere along the growing up way...
When I looked up "pram" on the Internet, the search results turned up pictures of modern day strollers... personally, when I hear pram, I think of that giant black thing that Mom used with all of us kids.

A pram is a baby buggy. It's on wheels and you can push the baby around in it. In European countries they are very elegant and pretty. In the US it's just another name for a standard baby buggy. They are nice here but not nearly as elegant.
