I had an X-Ray of my abdomen which consisted of the camera being pointed at my groin area. On top of having some eye irritation afterwards I have some burning in my penis without going to the washroom. I've had it now for a few days. Is this due to the X-ray and should I be concerned?

No, it has nothing to do with the x-ray, and it seems rather interesting that your "eye irritation" only comes up after that idiot mentioned it when he answered your other question. You don't need eye protection.

"Dr" Ayurveda, the lower part of the abdomen is where the colon is, which is why they would shoot low. It's also possible that on the first picture, the symphysis pubis (look it up) was not shown, so they needed another shot to include it.

You have given limited info but, just from your description I would that you possibly have an enlarged prostate. It is highly unlikely that an xray could affect your eyes or much of anything else.

Generally, a burning sensation in the penis is caused by either the prostate becoming inflamed or swollen, thus restricting the flow of urine, creating irritation during and after urination. In addition there could potentially be a narrowing of the urethra, the pathway the urine flows thru, again, this would cause irritation as the urine is forced thru the narrower tube.

In any case, its difficult to say without more information. If the condition continues and is bothersome, please consult your physician.

X-rays do not cause these problems. Probably got a virus or bacteria in the exam room or the clinic. If it does not go away in a week, then see your dr.

"Dr" Ayurveda Hmmmm. seems to me, may be you are confusing radiation therapy with an x ray. Even with the increased dose you receive with cat scan, this would be highly unlikely. (Maybe he's an ER doc) LOL.

The radiation would make your balls explode long before you get a burning feeling.
