How difficult is a 12 inch dobsonian 50 lb. tube to carry down the stairs?

I should probably mention the telescope is 12 inches aperature, 4'10" long

It depends how big you are...

I have a 10" Dobsonian in a hand made aluminum & wood case that probably weighs close to 50 pounds and it isnt difficult for me at all. The case helps because it gives you something to grip on to.... 50lbs really isnt that heavy for an adult.

It can be a little awkward, depending on length. A well-placed handle can make the tube much more manageable.
