No it does not, unless the RAM is of higher speed, and the CPU and motherboard support the higher frequency RAM.
In general terms - NO it does not. Although it will speed your computer up somewhat, because more RAM equals more capacity to run more processes.

No adding ram increases performance by allowing more things to be stored in the memory at a time. This increases speed because when there is not enough memory, the swap file must be used. This file is written to the hard drive. The hard drive is exponentially slower than the ram, so naturally, the more ram, the faster the computer will run.
Does RAM increase processor speed? No

Hi. You should use RAM modules of the same type when upgrading so you should be using DDR400 if you want to get the max. RAM speed your Board supports. RAM is backwards compatible so DDR400 RAM can also be run at DDR266 and DDR333 speeds. As long as you're using the right type of RAM it doesn't much matter what brand you choose, though Kingston, Corsair and Crucial are all good brands. You can never have too much RAM so go for the maximum amount your motherboard can support. My system also uses DDR400 RAM and I use the maximum 2GB that my board supports with XP Professional and it runs really well, a lot smoother than it did with the 512Mb I originally had.

New RAM Memory chips only increase the Internal memory for the OS and running of programs. Mhz can only be increased by upgrading your CPU chip. Mr. Geek.

No, the MHz is the "heart beat" of your CPU chip, which has nothing to do with the RAM (memory). Increasing the RAM usually does make your computer applications run better / faster.

No it increase's your memory size but, it will make your computer run faster. To increase MHz you have too upgrade Processor or Overclock it. If it is a MHz computer and not a p3 or p4 GHz computer it's cheap too do but, still won't be fast enough for the up to date software.

It will not. Only the CPU and bus speed do that, but buying RAM helps alot in speed. EX you had 256MB ad you uprgraded to 1GB you would see pretty good difference. You should anyway ;)

No, mghz is the speed of the processor. Having more ram can speed up your computer, however, because it won't get so jammed up handling data.
