I think so; I was driving a rental car in Sicily, just south of Palermo. In front of me was a Fiat 500-a little car with the engine in the back, kinda like a VW bug. Anyway, I saw some smoke come out of the back, then some flames. I honked my horn, then pulled around it and pretty much forced it off the road. A lady got out of the car, and at first I thought she was going to curse me out, but then she saw what was going on with her car. I didn't speak much Italian, but I think she cursed out the car first, then said something to me-she was talking really fast and seemed to be both angry and scared-but I think she said something along the lines of "you saved my life".

Yes. On a train in Europe, the door closed on my friend's hand and was starting to move dragging her along. I ran to the front of the train and yelled to the conductor to stop the train. They did and opened the door to release her hand. It was quite a shocking experience.

I pulled a guy from a mangled, burning car. Know what he said?
"Dude, my cd's are in there!" Like I'm supposed to go back and get those. Ungrateful Pr1ck. I'm glad I was there, or else he'd be in the same melted pile as his cd's.
