After a while, you'll get used to it. Remember that being alone means that there are no distractions. You can do whatever you want. You have freedom. You can enjoy life YOUR way, and don't have to live it someone else's way...

You can also try getting a pet. That always helps, because some pets resemble humans (after you get to know them).

And don't forget you also have friends! Call them up whenever you want! =) Better yet, use the internet to communicate (chat/email... etc)...

Though, if you mean: The fear of ending up alone, and not having a relationship (getting married... etc)... then I have the same problem you do. I guess, you just have to stay positive - and think of anything else BUT the things that upset you. Try doing hobbies/pass time stuff you enjoy. They always work for me. =)

How do you get over the fear of starting a new job? Or the fear of any unknown?

We are creatures of habit, we like the known the same, whether it is the best for us or not. Doing anything new will feel strange and will bring some fear.

And so I will answer some of my questions. On a new job you try to meet new people you try to learn the new job so. You work to get that comfortable feeling back. Right now you look at the empty apartment all alone. Well don't look at it that way, look at as an opportunity to feel it with friends and family, with things that you love to do, time spent the way you want, the path to a better life.

Living alone is the best! You really get to spend some quality time with yourself and learn what makes you tick or gringe. You finally get to do whatever you want when you want. I was like you and was always in a relationship. Finally at age 20 I decided it was time to be alone. To fill in your time is to relax. Pick up a hobby. Go to the apartment gym and get a routine going. Spend time answering Yahoo! questions. Buy a computer game. I think it's the ultimate to unwind from a day at work. Your mind can be distracted and veg out. Practice cooking. When you live alone the world is your oyster.

Godspeed.

It's good to be on your own for awhile. It gives you another perspective and helps you appreciate things and people more.

I would suggest inviting Christ into your heart, for it is in your heart where you are alone. It is my belief that Christ is love, and if you fill your heart with love, many will knock.
