I'm sure you are not the only person to ask this very question. Life is strange. Ya know love grows fonder in the absent of our loved ones. I moved back home with my elderly parents to help them out and now as a parent I understand what they were telling me and teaching me all of those years and even now. I am lucky that I can express that to them now. My folks have not lost their minds, just there bodies are aging too fast. Talk with them in your prayers, think of them often and in the end, they know you loved them and still do love them.

Wow, that is soooo true. I just realized that lately too. I think I need my parents more now that I'm 25, then when I was a teenager. I talk to my mom like 5 times a day. I don't know if that's normal, but I need to hear her voice so I can go on doing what I do. That's weird. I just got married recently and I need my mom more than ever. I need her advice on everything.

So at least you realise this there are many who still don't realise the importance of parents even when they are no more.

All too true. We humans tend to be short-sighted like that, concentrating on immediate suffering rather than the long term gain.

It happens all the time. So remember this, treat them with love and follow your heart. When they are gone, bury any regrets or guilt with them and live a happy life.
