I have this feather, its approximatly 4 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. the tip is a light greyish white, then a dark grey then another shade of medium grey.

I have a picture of it, I really need to know what this is. please help!!!

I just noticed the picture doesnt define the grey coloring variation as it really is, but this picture does.

Sorry to say, not a cuckoo, or a falcon, raven or other species, pattern isn't remotely similar to the above mentioned. Reading the description fast I thought it might have been a ring-billed gull, but it's on the small size, and after seeing the picture I have to say it's probably a rock pigeon (Columba livia).

I agree with a couple of the others, looks like a pigeon feather. Probably just a regular Rock Pigeon as they are most common.

because you fairly in trouble-free terms ever see the aspects and assistance of any flight or contour feathers, it may well be from some thing. that is totally confusing to identity a fowl basically from a feather or 2.

It is a primary wing feather from a rock dove (pigeon).

you need to put off the flash in taking picture if you want to see it more clearly and detailed

then it must be from an eagle

I'm thinking jay or raven. Look up birds in that group that occur in your area.

definately not raven...could be jay but its too big...
u should have mention ur location...
i would say its from cuckoo, judging from colour and pattern
could be falcon as well
