...because republicans are activists and democrats are pacifists. Bill Clinton told a lie that involved himself and an intern. bush lied to the nation and initiated a war that will kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, has already killed 3,100+ American soldiers, and injured many times more.

The democratic party doesn't impeach bush because they are afraid to stand in opposition to power. They are passive and they will not make a stand. The republicans stood against Clinton because they aren't afraid, they have the money and the power so they can take political risks.

bill Clinton grew to become into impeached (via the homestead) after being convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice, the two impeachable crimes. No impeachable crimes have been extra against George W. Bush mutually as in place of work. fortuitously our judicial equipment does not know "alleged" unlawful movements, scandals, etc., and extremely relies upon truthfully info, tangible info, and stable testimony in its seach for reality. in any different case the harmless would be wrongfully convicted exponentially.

The torture rack are you serious, he got away with murder, he lied to everyone and got a free pass, thanks to people like you, that have no moral compass, & Senators that had no backbone, he would of been impeached, like he should had been, maybe Billy would of understood the word - is- better if they would have impeached him and told him today -is- your last day as President Mr. Clinton you can go home now!!!!

RickN:
How could you call manufacturing intel to wage war not a high crime or misdemeanor!!!

Knowingly lying to the American people, Congress, and the world about WHY we had to invade Iraq is the very definition of it!!!

Yes Clinton lied under oath regardless of what the question was or regardless of why he lied.......he lied and was impeached for it!!! I have no problem with why he was impeached!!

But how can you believe that what Bush has done is not only morally more wrong but legally more wrong!!???

Asker: I can't for the life of me understand why Bush isn't being impeached unless like the first answerer put it they are going to take the high road and let this administration become their own undoing to get people to elect more Democrats to public office when it's time to!!

EDIT: Really what about the oath he took when he entered the office of the Presidency of the United States !?!?

"I do solemly swear to (or affirm) that I will FAITHFULLY execute the office of President of the United States, and I will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the constitution of the United States"!!!!

That doesn't require him to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth???????

Let's look at the constitution he swore to uphold ....the Patriot Act and the 2007 Defense Authorization Act COMPLETELY encroach on the rights of the constitution!!!

One answer you got is totally wrong. There have been MANY high crimes and misdemeanors, including taking the country into an illegal war, lying to the American public repeatedly, dismantling the Constitution (why doesn't this make cons mad?--I guess they only care about the second amendment), outing a covert CIA agent, juggling the books so that Americans don't know how much the war is costing, doctoring intelligence in several different ways, lying to Congress, invading a sovereign nation without cause, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, allowing torture and suspending habeas corpus. We could go on all night.

The main reason he hasn't been impeached is that no one wants Cheney for president because he would be worse. Now, if we could impeach BOTH of them, that would be ideal!

Such ignorance.

Bush has done absolutely nothing that calls for impeachment.

Your way of justifying Clinton's actions by saying he got "the torture rack for oral sex" is pathetic. Start realizing that he blatantly lied about it.

Because he hasn't been charged with an impeachable offense.

I think he got impeached for lying to a grand jury not for sex. Who cares what he did but when questioned he lied. --Right ?

This has been done and redone on here so many times now. If you'd give it even 5 min. thought the liberals/demo's would have done it by now if there was any chance of President Bush being guilty of anything. Ain't gonna happen so live with it.

Perhaps it's because, unlike his libidinous predecessor, the President has committed neither high crime nor misdemeanor. "We don't like him" is not an impeachable offense, as much as that grinds the Left.

EDIT: KellyB, Let's pretend for a moment that the President lied through his teeth (a laughable scenario, I know, but play along). Unless it was under oath, there was no crime. Once again: words have actual definitions.
