actually, you shouldnt be feeding him romaine. Romaine lettuce has hardly any nutrients; you should be feeding collard greens instead. He can have many different veggies and fruits. Here is a site that has a great and detailed list of what they can and cannot eat as far as fruits and veggies.

As far as protien, roaches are the most nutritious; followed by crickets, superworms, silkworms. Mealworms are not that nutritious; they are mainly fat and are hard for the beardies to digest. Waxworms are a great source of fat and are good to have on hand as a treat; but never as the main source of protien.

See you got many answers,but none Kale! The darker the green the better, also they like any fruits.The one I had loved any fresh fruits such as watermelon,peaches,catalope,oranges,also they loved canned green beans.
