well i can say this...most jobs that require a college degree.....an average person with a little OJT could do the same exact job with no problems. go figure

30 years ago if was possible. My mother had a grade 8 education and eventually was a Head Supervisor of a cafeteria in a large Department Store. Today, you would need a collage degree.
Almost any decent job in our current time you would need a degree to get the job and then you have OJT for that particular position.

For 8th grade, never.

I could teach someone with a 4th grade education to do my job, if they had good mechanical skills. But if someone had a master's degree but had two left thumbs I couldn't teach them to hold my tools for me. School learning isn't everything.
