We have to change with the time. Diwali is indeed the festival of light, when the firing the crackers is quite appropriate. Now, the universe is on the verge of destruction due to global warming. We need to reduce all factors that contribute to more burning that generate more heat and carbon di oxide. It is time that we stopped firing crackers once and for all.

As a kid I used to love the fire crackers. But growing up I realised that it was nothing more than a waste of money adding to all noise and pollution. Diwali is a festival of lights and not one of smoke and noise, I've decided to keep it that way now. I light up my house colourfully during diwali and buy sweets with all that money that I would've bought crackers and distribute them among the less previleged.

You are right. Diwali is not a festival of fire works. Various businessmen have made all festival as gift festival. Publicity can do anything. Publicity can covert ordinary man into god. Ram was a normal man but due to publicity he is god.

Well what's wrong with burning firecrackers. I mean, I agree about the global warming, but hey, if diwali's bad, isn't July 4th terrible as well? And all the other firework holidays?

Ya burning of fire works are really burning of money,i do realize that, and stopped burning crackers.Though i cannot always say that ppl who burn crackers waste their money,as fire works employ a lot of ppl,and its Indian tradition too.
I think excessive firework is waste and spoiling your money.

Dushera & Deewali. i like them simply by fact each highway is packed with sunshine. i like observing Devi Durga's arti & fireworks. And the trip journeys are longer than in different gala's. i do unlike Raksha Bandhan, simply by fact i don't have a brother. It makes me experience unhappy while my acquaintances are all busy procuring Rakhi for his or her brothers & i'm on my own. I of course dislike Holi, simply by fact i'm the sufferer extremely some the time & people do no longer think of two times in the previous putting the colours into eyes.
