The lyrics are written by Kenny Loggins and performed by... Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Loggins & Messina, and Kenny Loggins solo, among others, no doubt. It's called "House at Pooh Corner" in the two former versions. But the lyrics are also in a Kenny Loggins remake with the title, "Return to Pooh Corner."

There is a lot of misinformation online, I discovered after reading a few of these answers -- and some of it has trickled *into* these answers. At various websites, the song is credited to being written by the Indigo Girls, the title is "House *of* Pooh Corner" or "House of Pooh," Winnie's name has a Wh, and lyrics are just plain wrong. I dug deeper than some did, and than I originally had.

The Dirt Band did the earliest version I'm aware of, which may or may not be titled House *On* Pooh Corner. Shortly afterward came the big Loggins & Messina version (as I originally answered), and much later a more mature Kenny Loggins (having become a father) did a remake of the song--with some different lyrics and an added verse--called Return to Pooh Corner.

But the versions you most likely heard or want are by the duo who made it famous, or the altered one by Kenny Loggins solo.
