OK. During foreplay I experienced a gush of fluid. It was clear, watery, and seemed to smell sweet. I am 29 weeks pregnant. I am curious whether anyone can help me decipher whether this was my membranes rupturing or female ejaculate (which I have never done before). I didn't actually orgasm, but was close.

Get to a doctor or midwife as soon as you can. ANY sudden gush of fluid during pregnancy should be investigated. If your waters have broken even though you may not experience any contractions you are at serious and real risk of infection.

For the sake of yourself and your baby please get medical help.

I would get it checked out. My waters broke at 30 weeks and then I had my baby at 34 weeks. So even though it is rare it is still possible for the membranes to rupture ahead of time. Even though it might not be PPROM (Pre-term Premature Rupture of Membranes) still get it checked out, because if it is PPROM there is a very strong chance of an infection occuring, which can cause problems with the baby. You are always best off getting things checked out just to be on the safe side. Good Luck.

I would think female ejaculation. Just because you have not before does not mean a thing. Every woman that has done this had a first time.

Still call your OB .

By the way just a normal google search can cause a lot of sites you may not want t see. Try a medical one.

Good luck
