*GriN* your First friend TOM is responsible for it ALL!!!! Mwahahahahahaahaa!!!

Just kidding! There are LOTS of search engines that are looking through websites for any email addresses they can find.. (mining addresses).. which are then sold on CD's to people who want to SPAM you continuously in hopes of you becoming a sucker for just ONE of their advertisements or your winning the "Free International Lotto" or .. your trying to help some poor attorney in a foriegn country get his dead bosses money out of a corrupt country before the government takes it all... I think that pretty well covers most of it...

OH! wait! I almost forgot... there are hostile foriegn countries that collect email addresses and purposely spam them to lessen the effectiveness of the internet... and they send out spyware, trojan horses, viruses, etc.. to take over your computer so they can cause YOUR computer to SPAM others!

Everyday spammers find new routes to try to get into your email inbox. Spam consists of unwanted advertising, but some can transmit viruses, ad ware or spy ware on to your computer and cause problems. A lot of time is wasted sorting through the email received and deleting Spam email While it is not possible to totally eliminate Spam email, you can keep junk emails manageable. I have seen a brief study on spam in the following site. It is very useful .I recommend that you adopt the methods suggested there and get benifitted.

I got phished, and it messed up may account, so that I can't send outgoing messages to ANYONE on my MySpace now. It all started w/, something somebody posted to my profile that I clicked on, in my comment area. The person got ahold of everyone on my friends list through phishing and sent the thing to them as well... I read their profile it said they were from some country in Africa I can scarcely pronounce.......Then the next day it was deleted altogether, their profile not mine. Best thing to do is e-mail Tom, and report any problems to him...Good Luck

not unless she is pretending to imitate an actual person such as taking a picture of a friend or teacher and pretending to be them (they could sue her for that) or if she is doing something illegal through the profile- what ever that would be. but no, its not illegal if she is being some one who doesnt exist in real life but like i said if she is pretending to be a person who is "real" and that person finds out- she could get sued at the very least.
