Whatever they did to the animal should be done to them.
If they do it to defenseless animals they would do worse to a human.

They should suffer just like they made the animal suffer most of the cases. But also there is some people that dont have much money and are homeless that keep animals because that is all they really can have as a friend which is very sad. Most of the time them animals dont get much food but they still love there owners and realize they are suffering with them.

I can't ask for the stretching on the wheel, branding, dismemberment, and so on, though. They haven't done it to a human. Human suffering for human suffering; time and money for animal suffering. They should be held accountable, but they're not murderers, even though lots of animals are a whole lot cuter than the people murderers kill.

well the days of Hamurabbi's Code are long since over (eye for and eye BUT, serious fines and community service shoveling Elephant poop sounds like the start of a good lesson to me.
Domesticated animals depend on us for food, shelter, water, love and health... like a small child, I can't stomach the thought of someone beating a dog or cat or anyother sort of abuse towards animals.

A HEFTY fine. Some time in the county jail Never able to have another pet..if caught, double the previous fine and jail time. Take their driving privileges away for a couple of years.

Put 'em in a cage and leave 'em that way for about a week...no food, water, etc...and then let the animals they abuse have at 'em.

It should be treated no differently than any other crime. Killing an animal should be treated as murder, so on and so forth.
