Eat a well balanced breakfast, with a lot of protein. Bananas make for a good energy boost. You can even try a B-Complex vitamin, found in any pharmacy. B vitamins are energy powerhouses. I take one every afternoon with lunch and it gives me what I need to get through the day. You can take it with breakfast to give you a boost to start the day.

I've read drinking water can help energize you better than coffee or Soda in the morning but you will have to be free of the caffine addiction before you actually feel any affect. It took me close to 2 weeks of no caffine to feel good in the morning without it.
