Ever heard of a Man who works all day in a job He hates so that He can put food on the table, clothes on His children, maintain a house and home, educate and care for His kids and generally give up His life for the sake of others? He is called a Father. How do You feel about Yours? Hero or Zero?

To me, a hero is not a superhuman or something - with special powers (and not celebrities either, who have media/fans on their backs to support them). To me, heroes are ordinary people who pull of amazing little things that we often take for granted. A hero is someone we admire, and sometimes even idolize. It's someone who has effected one personally, in a very deep way - emotionally or mentally.

I've had several heroes: One of them happen to be my mom because she has endured a lot. We had a really rough time, especially when I was growing up. Her in-laws :- my grandparents never treated her as part of the family, but rather as a 'useless human being' that was only there for blaming things on or treating as a slave. It hurt me to see her treated that way, but since I was treated the same way – I stuck by her and cried with her whenever she did (I was very young). Because of that (kind of situation), she raised me in such a way to be happy with everything you have, and to appreciate them. As a child, I never got to LIVE like a normal kid because we couldn't afford much (and my grandparents never gave me gifts/toys/books even clothes - only discipline…)- so her influence on my life means a lot to me. Sometimes, I get very emotional because I don't know what I'd do without her... I love her dearly for everything she's done for me (every sacrifice got her into trouble, just to make my life better). That to me, is a hero – she’s not a superhuman, but rather she did a more than human act. She's been my mother, my teacher, my play-mate, my friend and yes, a hero.

my heroes are the men and women fighting to keep our country free. Also the men and women who helped others at 9-11 and the ones that lost their lives that day.

My Mom is my hero. She raised 3 kids alone while working full time earning minimum wage. She kept an immaculate house, cooked wonderful meals and showed us love with no boundaries.

I have two heroes.

My wife who is blind and works Tech Support. She's amazed all of us by excelling in this field.

My other hero is my 12 year-old son. He was "Home schooled" for three years but taugt about two weeks worth of subjects in that time and he's socially underdeveloped. He's six feet one inch tall and faces many challenges but he handles them with grace and dignity.

on occasions i will meet someone with this outstanding aura, every thing about them seems so perfect, every thing they say makes so much sense, every bit of advice they give you makes you want to do it, even if you have to turn your life around.these people are usually spiritual and see life in a different way.

these people are amazing

I have only ever met two people in my life like this...

These people are my heroes...

and then if we are talking about famous heroes...

then...

The Chershire Cat..

with his cheekiness and clever coments..

gotta love the cheshire cat..

And celebrity wise..

Probably Drew barrymore

she started as a young acter...

then got into drugs

then stopped

then no one wanted to have anything to do with her

and she had the strength and courage to build herself up again.

She is so beautiful..
