This isn't a monetary solution...but...
You could look into volunteering and intern positions where he could learn skills that will increase his chances at a better job (higher pay as well) when he is 16. All of which will help future resumes and college applications. See what jobs he thinks he's interested in and try to place him in a similar field volunteering/interning. He'll get a taste of it, it may help him have an inside look at it and could help him decide what direction to go in.

I somewhat agree with some of the posts here about this being a bad idea.. They all have good points, but a small (SMALL!) job could help him learn responsibility and earn a lil extra money.
I fill out surveys and complete free offers and stuff. You only hafta be 13 to join, but you hafta have parents permission. The only draw back is most of the offers are only eligible for 18 and up, but it couldnt hurt to give it a try. Click the link below.

maximum places you are able to paintings as youthful as 14 yet under very strict limitations. I worked at a convienience save whilst i grew to become into 14 and that i grew to become into no longer allowed to paintings previous 9pm on college nights and could no longer paintings greater beneficial than a lot of hours in one week. additionally you may get a employees enable and generally there as to be a criminal person over the age of 18 working the comparable shift as you. i'd attempt a Mcdonalds or a speedy meals eating place via fact they are incredibly sturdy approximately hiring adolescents to paintings after college.

Actualy 14 years is not the time for working. If possible let him study further. There is a long way for him to work.
