Im having trouble synthesizing an item.. it needs an ingredient that is ???.. i believe that is supposed to be the section for photons right? but hwo do i select which photons to use?

yes but how to you pick to put one in a slot? thats what i can't figure out.. where are the slots? lol

Just pick one and see what the% of success is, if it is low don't try it eventually you will be able to find the right photon for that item the farther you progress the better the ingredients are. Just keep going sooner or later you will get what you need.

yes, it's most likely for photons.
if you read the effects of each photon, you can choose based on what kind of attribute you want your weapon to have (if it is a weapon, that is). For instance, if you were making a sword and wanted it to do fire damage, you would put a Ban-Photon in that slot. Just read what each photon says and base your decision on that.
