Sure, there's a particular brand of birth control pill called Seasonale that will give your fiancee her period only four times a year (every three months). If she's already on the pill, it's also probably fine for her to skip her period for as long as she likes by skipping her sugar pills and taking hormone pills continuously. It's in fact thought in the medical community that the only reason birth-control-pill companies kept sugar pills in the pack every month was as a sort of marketing strategy because, in the '70s, women would have been incredulous and afraid to buy a pill that eradicated their periods altogether. If she needs to skip her period just for the wedding, all she has to do is skip her sugar pills for that month. Here's more info on a website authored by an ob/gyn professor at the U of Washington: http://www.noperiod.com/

Oh sure, we can do you that you know, we just make it go away whenever we want! She could start birth control to stop her period. But other than that, you're just going to have to live with that aspect of her, and she'll have to just accept it if she gets it on her wedding day. I'm sure she won't be the first one.
To the person who posted above. I don't think he's talking about sex or anything. I think they don't want her to be bleeding on her Big day when she'll be wearing WHITE but as long as she has a good tampon, she should be fine

They have birth control methods where a woman only menstruates every 3 months or so--don't know on average how long you have to be on that method before it settles into a regular cycle. She can also use a barrier (diaphram) although it's messy and can be a pain to get in correctly. You and your fiancee should talk to her gynocologist.

Tell her to take Yas the low estrogin birth control pill that will lessen periods. Please don't ask her to get the "shot" as one girl phrased it. The "shot" (depo provera) causes horrible side effects much worse than any period. It causes severe weight gain, hair loss, headaches, depression, low sex drive, and osteoporosis. I believe me on this, I know from personal experience.

If she would be able to no longer terminate her perental appropriate's then there is no way ,ou can undertake the toddlers. via you adopting them it potential she has no say so in them. and that they are going to by no potential see her returned. If there older then toddlers this would heavily consequence them. you will desire to think of relating to the toddlers to. do you go with to take their mom removed from them? Is she a solid mom? if so then why would you go with to try this to her. nicely of path she hates you any jealous ex-spouse would. yet until she terminates her rights , you will no longer be able to undertake them. Sorry. you may seem into struggling with for custody in case you incredibly desire to...yet that would desire to get incredibly grimy and consequence the toddlers dramatically. nicely better of effective fortune!

If she gets on the shot, she has the same percentage of getting pregnant as though she was "fixed". She also won't get her periods anymore. She better get a shot quick tho.

sure. change the date of your wedding and the date of her period is sure to change as well.
but really there isn't a way. sometimes stress can delay it and since she is sure to be stressed it may be delayed. other than that ....no

I know this goes against everything you think, but if you would give it some concideration it may save your marriage:
"Contraception takes away Freedom. This truth may strike you as odd at first, but give it some time to sink in: contraception was not invented to prevent pregnancy. There already existed a perfectly safe, infallibly reliable way of doing that; it’s called abstinence. Upon deeper reflection it becomes clear that contraception was invented to indulge sexual instinct. As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention. The necessity that mothered contraception was our “need” for sex.
“Sexual Freedom,” in the popular sense, means the license to have sex without even having to say no (this is exactly what contraception affords). But only those who can say no to sex (only those who can abstain) demonstrate that when they say YES, they do so freely. Contraception, promoted in the name of “Sexual Freedom,” actually fosters self-imposed slavery. It creates a culture of people unable to say no to their hormones.
Totality. When we have sex, we are giving ourselves in full to our partner. Contracepted intercourse contradicts the “language of love” by saying, “I give all of myself except my fertility. I receive all that you are except your fertility.”
The choice to withhold one’s fertility during intercourse, or to refuse to receive it as a gift in one’s spouse, is a contradiction of the deepest essence of conjugal love right at the moment when it should find its most sincere expression. Precisely at marriage’s “moment of truth,” the truth is exchanged for a lie.

Possibly, it depends on several factors. Have her call her OB/GYN tommarow.
