I am not seeing anything in add/remove programs...
Or do I see a HELP
Only thing I have "on top" near address bar is Home, Feeds (J), Print, Page and Tools

On the top menu bar go to Help, About Internet Explorer. If you don't have Help, press F1. It should show the version of IE on the first help page.

With IE open go to Help click on about and viola the version is listed there.

click on the help button on your menu bar and then click on about internet explorer.
Then i would right click on your menu bar, go down to customize command bar and then click on add or remove commands....it will bring up a box.....look throught the list on the left side and when you see help click on it and then hit the add button...this should add help on your menu bar...and then follow the very first step i gave you.
