Look him dead in the eye and show or tell him what you found...

Tell him you have something you want to sit down and talk about with him. Try to keep your voice calm and keep your cool, no matter how upset you might be feeling. Tell him what this 'dirt' is you found on him and ask him for an explanation of it. Tell him you'd rather know the truth than be hanging and wondering about it. Try to be reasonable in discussing the situation. Then try to come up with a solution or compromise on the issue.
Good Luck!

What kind of DIRT? it doesn't matter how you should approach him, but you should do it as soon as possible & without playing any mind games. You should talk with him about it maturely, that way you can clear things up.

Clean it off and tell him next time he's doing laundry.

Or, are you talking something else? Like he murdered someone or worse?

Send him to jail. Let the police do the approaching.

A lot of people take their diry partner out to dinner and pop the evidence on the table after the drinks arrive.

you will be in a public place, and catch him off gaurd!!!

Make sure you have all of
the facts and documentation ready
and in hand before you appraoch him.

Then, when you confront him
(hopefully- calmly),
and he begins lying-
(as he undoubtedly will)
just produce your proof.
