I was taught once that those with wealth couldn't possibly make it into heaven because they love the world more than anything. Does anyone believe this to be true?

That is not necessarily true. It's what you DO with the wealth when you have it. Now, you can be greedy and not share or help the needy, knowing you are well taken care of and have the extra money. But, if you do the opposite of what I said, then, possibly, it makes it easier to know that during your life, money DID NOT RULE YOU. J.C. was asked by a rich man on how to get to heaven, and he said by obeying the laws. The rich man said I do that, but when J.C. asked him to sell everything and follow him, he couldn't do it. That's when J.C. asked him "You can you say that you have kept the word and the law when your brothers (meaning the poor) around you are in need?"

Actually it is those who worship money. No one can worship two masters. If you accept God's plan and work in his services the wealth you accumulate will be in his plan for you. Some are destined by God to have great wealth because of their ability to serve others with it. Others accumulate wealth as it becomes their master.

They will sit at the far end of the table while the poor and beleagured sit next to God in Heaven. It may not be your wealth, but how you attained it that stops you from going to Heaven.

The Lord said it was "difficult" for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom, but it's not impossible. He's got nothing against the rich, matter of fact, He is the one that blesses. He did say that where ur treasure is, that's where ur heart is, so if ur heart is for helping others out, u would wanna use ur wealth to help out others, & if that's the case, I think He would even make u more wealthy, & I think u just might make it1 At least, that's what I believe.

if you live submerged in your wealth, then no, you will most likely not go to heaven. but if for instance, you inherit a large sum of money from a recently passed away relative and don't corrupt yourself with it, you can still get to heaven, assuming you're a christian and meet all the other "how to get to heaven" requirements. it really depends on what you do with your wealth that determines it, but ultimately, no. it's a relationship with God, or lack thereof, that determines whether or not you go to heaven.

There's an old saying to the effect that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven.
Boloney! 'Heaven', to me translates to 'Happiness" and my creed goes more like, "If a person is wealthy, yet unhappy, it is not the money that is making him miserable".

I know many wealthy who went to heaven as they completed all the material desires and got fed up with the worldly joy and were seeking better place. King Solman was one such.

No, it is not true. The Lord do not mind us having money. He do mind money having us.
